1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Skihelper.com ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using skihelper.com (our website), our iOS mobile app (available on the Apple App Store), or any related services, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Skihelper.com. By creating an account (whether through email/password registration, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In), using guest access, or using any part of our Service, you confirm that:

Skihelper.com is a free community coordination platform that helps families:

Except where Regular and Premium are distinguished above, the term "registered users" in these Terms refers to both Regular and Premium account holders.

🚧 Premium Tier — Interim Notice

The three-tier access model (Guest / Regular / Premium) described above is the planned structure. The paid Premium tier has not yet been implemented. Until the Premium tier launches — planned for before the start of the 2026-27 ski season — all users currently have access to the following features that will later be tier-gated:

  • Snow Forecast: full 16-day forecast with hourly details for every day, plus full wax suggestions (recreational and professional race modes)
  • Road & Traffic: AI-powered road condition analysis and safety scores on traffic cameras
  • Video Coach (registered users): 500 MB active video storage, 30-day video auto-delete, up to 50 AI analyses per rolling 30-day window, and full access to video comparison and Visual Annotations

When the Premium tier launches, the limits and access levels described in the rest of this document will take effect. Existing users will be notified ahead of the change.

IMPORTANT: We are a coordination platform only. We DO NOT:

To access full features, you must create an account. We offer three registration methods:

For all registration methods: You may provide additional optional information (family details, vehicle info, contact preferences). What you share is optional. You may provide general information and use nicknames if you prefer. Share only what you're comfortable sharing with the community.

SkiHelper.com is committed to maintaining a safe community. To report objectionable content:

Upon review, we may remove content and/or suspend the account responsible. Users who submit false or malicious reports may also have their accounts suspended.

3.5 Self-Service Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account at any time through our self-service deletion process:

  1. Log in to your account on the website or mobile app
  2. Navigate to Account Profile tab
  3. Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section
  4. Click "Delete My Account"
  5. Complete the multi-step confirmation process (requires entering your family name for verification)
  6. Check your email for a deletion confirmation link
  7. Click the email link within 1 hour to complete deletion

⚠️ Account Deletion is Permanent

Deletion is irreversible and will permanently remove:

  • Your account profile and family information
  • Equipment exchange listings
  • All messages (sent and received)
  • Friends network and blocking preferences
  • Video Coach skier profiles, videos, AI feedback, and visual annotation images
  • Favorite resort preferences
  • All associated data and history

The confirmation email link expires in 1 hour for security. If you do not click the link, your account will NOT be deleted. Some data may remain in backups for up to 30 days.

Guest User Note: Guest users do not have accounts and no personal data is stored, so deletion is not applicable.

4. Snow Forecast Feature

When uploading videos, you agree that:

Video Coach usage is subject to tier-based limits on active storage, video retention, and AI analysis frequency:

Analysis counts use a rolling 30-day window (not calendar months). When you reach your storage cap, additional uploads are blocked until you delete older videos or existing videos are auto-deleted. When you reach your analysis quota, additional analyses are blocked until older analyses fall outside the 30-day window. These limits are enforced server-side and are subject to change; the current values are configurable by the platform and will be reflected in-app. All tier-based rules on Video Coach are in addition to Section 8.1 and Sections 8.3–8.6.

The Snow Forecast feature provides weather predictions from third-party sources. We make no guarantees about:

Weather forecasts are predictions only. Always verify conditions with multiple sources and make your own safety decisions.

11.7 Road & Traffic Disclaimer

The Road & Traffic Conditions feature provides traffic camera feeds and road condition information from third-party sources. We make no guarantees about:

Road conditions change rapidly in mountain areas. Always verify conditions with official sources like Caltrans QuickMap, NDOT NVRoads, UDOT Traffic, COtrip, ODOT TripCheck, WSDOT, ITD, MDT, and WYDOT, and use your own judgment when driving. AI analysis is for informational purposes only and is NOT a substitute for official road reports or personal assessment of conditions.

Guest access is provided for evaluation purposes only. We make no warranties about:

The YouTube Live Video and Web Camera features provide third-party content. We make no guarantees about:

Live video streams and web cameras show conditions at a specific point and time. Mountain conditions vary significantly across different areas and elevations. Always verify conditions with official resort reports and use your own judgment.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skihelper.com, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any successor or affiliate.

16.5 Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.

16.6 Force Majeure

We are not liable for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, wars, etc.).

  • Features may be added, removed or changed
  • The platform may experience bugs or downtime

  • You have control over your data through self-service deletion
  • Guest access is available to explore the platform risk-free
  • Video Coach videos are automatically deleted after 30 days for Regular accounts, or after 12 months for Premium accounts
  • AI feedback is not a substitute for professional instruction
  • A backup AI model may be used when the primary model is unavailable
  • Snow forecasts are predictions and should be verified with other sources
  • Hourly detailed weather reports including snow level, snow-to-rain ratio, snow quality, and daytime/evening snowfall are estimates only
  • Road & Traffic data should be verified with official Caltrans, NDOT, UDOT, CDOT, ODOT, WSDOT, ITD, MDT, and WYDOT sources
  • AI road condition analysis with improved scoring is for informational purposes only
  • YouTube Live Video streams are third-party content from YouTube and may be unavailable at times
  • Web camera links direct you to resort-operated pages outside of Skihelper
